I had never heard of Mary Yoder until I started reading this book. Michael ‘s intriguing look at the murder of Mary Yoder by her son Adam Yoder’s ex-girlfriend Kaitlyn Conley gives you the in depth look of how a family’s life can change through one person’s obsession when a relationship fails, and the toxic hatred takes over that person’s life.The book is about Katie as she is known by the family and who works for Bill and Mary Yoder in their Chiropractic Clinic. Katie who is a very vengeful person and who has a cold calculated narcissistic personality decides after her breakup with Adam that she refuses to let Adam go, and Katie then turns Adam and the family’s world upside down. So begins the investigation into the mysterious 2015 poisoning of a wife, mother, friend and employer in upstate New York and the family who are plunged into a nightmare of backstabbing and vengeance.Michael engrosses you into the book from the beginning to end and pays tribute to the victim and their families as he guides you through the story and sensationalises the horrific murder of Mary and the ends Katie will go to feed her own sociopathic personality with no thought of the consequences of her actions on both family’sMichael W. Phelps does not disappoint once again a fantastically written book which you will find hard to put down, I highly recommend this book.
